IN SCHOOL SUSPENSION SUPPORT​

Students in grades 6-12 that have received an in school suspension from their district are eligible to participate in this program.

The school districts are responsible for providing students all of the necessary academic materials for the duration of their suspension. This includes textbooks and worksheets and/or on-line expectations in all of their classes. The districts will complete a suspension support form and outline any special education considerations.
NLS staff will monitor and assist all academic tasks as needed.

NLS staff will review a daily social skills lesson that is targeted to address specific behaviors that led to the suspension. NLS staff will document the student’s progress each day and will communicate this information to their home school.
