Academics
Edgenuity is the curriculum in all of our AEDY programs. Edgenuity encourages student centered personalized learning while building essential academic skills. Edgenuity provides grade level standard aligned content.
Upon entry into all AEDY programs, students receive a schedule that is based on the courses that the student is enrolled in at their home school district. Schedules are reviewed with the guidance counselor from the sending school district by AEDY program staff to ensure consistency. Our courses are customizable and adapt to student learning. Credit recovery and credit acceleration options are available.
My Path
Imagine MyPath® is a carefully designed curriculum to maximize student learning through personalized learning paths that prioritize the essential skills students will need for grade-level success. As students move from intervention to supplemental grade-level practice and beyond, Imagine My Path continues to deliver adaptive lessons propelling them forward.
My Path provides students a pathway to grade level success with a personalized and adaptive program in reading and math. Students receive age appropriate instruction no matter their grade level. They are provided with frequent check-ins for the program to adapt and maximize students’ time. THe lessons address skill gaps from previous grade content that connect to the major of work of the students current grade.
Behavior
Within 5 days of student enrollment, a Positive Behavior Support Plan (PBSP) / Formal Periodic Review (FPR) is completed. The PBSP/FPR identifies SMART behavior goals based on the behavior assessment and reasons for referral.
Student behavior is tracked on a daily point sheet based off of our Behavior Matrix in the areas of Respect, Responsibility, Positivity, and Safety. Students are also assessed on their progress with their individual behavior goals. Students are taught replacement behaviors to help them develop the ability to successfully transition back to their home school.
AEDY staff use Restorative Practices to help students make better decisions and ultimately change their behavior. Restorative Practices ia a field within social sciences that
studies how to strengthen relationships between individuals as well as social connections within communities.
Counseling
Students are required to have 2.5 hours of counseling per week. Counseling services are provided at the individual and group level.
Counseling interventions are provided within our positive behavior supports and multi-tiered system of support.
Positive Action
The Positive Action Curriculum is used during individual and group counseling. Positive Action is an evidenced based social-emotional curriculum that helps students learn to process their emotions. It teaches them to understand, validate, control their emotions, and create healthier relationships in their lives.
Purpose Prep
Students have access to extra courses through Purpose Prep. education modules that target the behavior of concern. Purpose Prep is a social emotional curriculum that addresses a broad range of prevention and interventions for students in grades 6-12. The curriculum is aligned to the academic, social, and emotional (CASEL) competencies, multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS), and positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS).

Group Counseling
Group counseling is provided 3 times a week for middle and high school students separately. During group counseling, students participate in lessons in the Positive Action curriculum, Purpose Prep modules, and Restorative Practices.
While addressing academic and behavior improvements, students will also be taught skills that will assist them in work related services and job skills training through Pennsylvania Academic Career and Technical Training (PACCT).
The Pennsylvania Academic, Career and Technical Training (PACTT) Alliance is a unique public/private partnership consisting of community-based agencies, residential facilities, and probation programs that are commonly referred to as an “affiliate.”
These affiliates have voluntarily agreed to work toward enhancing services in the areas of academics, work-related services, and job skills training.
